An idea just hit me like a semi-truck right now.
So I was replaying the morphing sequence of samurai rangers in my head while scrolling through Ninjago videos when an idea out no where formed. Kai having the Lion zord from Samurai
Then it started snowballing. Our favorite ninjas as power rangers!
Just imagine the fights!! The mechs as zords? Special power ups? The battlizer?
Lloyd being the special green ranger like Tommy from Mighty Morphin?
Them having visors on helmets in the shape of their elements in ninjargon like in Samurai?
Or visors looking like the ones from ninja storm, and just add ninjargon somewhere else?
The transformation phrase being "Ninjago!" like in the pilots??
The colors get a little finicky though. Even though Jay is the original blue ninja, in the traditional power ranger setting blue was always a water ranger :/ So Nya fits perfectly, but she wasn't the original blue. Lightning was also an element, but it was yellow (mystic force). It doesn't fit Jay. This may be the first power ranger team without yellow. Or make Jay become yellow and you have drama, since blue is Nya.
Kai, Lloyd and Cole are the easiest. Their powers were pretty consistent, even if Cole's power was also in green rangers. And one special occasion of Emily the yellow ranger from Samurai
Zane can also have his white ranger form, but there were also silver/titanium rangers, so he can be those colors too.
And wouldn't it be funny for Morro to be the former pink ranger? lmao. I only know three seasons that have elements which are Megaforce, Samurai and Mystic force. And in all of them pink rangers have wind powers. So sorry Morro, you couldn't have been the green one in either setting, so we are giving you the pink! Just get Zane's pink ninja uniform and you're ready lol.

Today in the Department of Before They Were Star Trek Stars, DeForest Kelley guest stars in "The Legion of Old Timers," episode 5 of the first season of The Lone Ranger (original air date October 6, 1949).
Kelley plays Bob Kittredge, a tenderfoot from back East who's just inherited his late father's ranch. He falls prey to a con man who drives away the ranch's faithful foreman (the eponymous "old timer") and tries to sell the land out from under him. The Lone Ranger, Tonto, and the old foreman ride to the rescue and good triumphs over evil until next week's episode.
Since there are no other Trek connections, allow me to just ramble a bit about The Lone Ranger and me. I've never seen the 1949-57 TV series before, but I'm told it was one of my Grandpa's favorites. I also never saw the 2013 movie, but people assure me I didn't miss much. This was around the time I was thinking, “Gore Verbinski and Johnny Depp could use a break from each other,” and “Tim Burton and Johnny Depp could use a break from each other.”
The 1980 Filmation animated series was part of my regular Saturday morning cartoon experience as a little kid. I don't have a ton of clear memories of it, except that characters from American history made guest appearances/cameos, and it was part of a larger series with Tarzan and Zorro.
Several kids I knew had these Lone Ranger action figures, and they were really high quality. One line from the TV commercial jingle (set to the tune of the William Tell overture that became the Lone Ranger theme) went, “Let him ride in a covered wagon; let him hold a rifle in his hand,” and still gets stuck in my head decades later. One issue with this is that I've never been able to find a recording or video of this commercial ever since it aired in the 1980s. Another is that I, being unfamiliar with the term “covered wagon” at the time, thought he was riding in something called a “cupboard wagon” and immediately pictured the wagon from the Chuck Wagon dog food commercials (which, in all fairness the Lone Ranger action figure could have easily ridden in).
When I was a teenager, one of my mother's best friends married a man who claimed to be a cousin of Jay Silverheels, the actor who played Tonto. I have no idea if there was any merit to his claim. He had a signed picture of them together, but if every celebrity someone had a signed picture with was their cousin, the world would be a big, weird family.
Anyway, season's greetings from Tonto, Tarzan, and Frankenstein.

Aloha, Evan Buckley
okay so this is my widowed seal!buck (9-1-1) x hawaii five-0 (and also chicago fire and pd, but only a little bit) crossover series that's still very much a wip but i think it deserves some love so here's summaries and links if you're interested!
Evan "Buck" Buckley's journey to finding family when he needs it most and how his o'hana reminds him that they love him time and time again. (non-linear story line and please beware of tags!)
Part 1: You're Gone (But I'm Still Here)
Nearing Christmas in 2019, Buck breaks down. It's the third anniversary that he's spent alone.
When everything hurts, who do you run to? How do you heal? How do you start to move on from something that the people closest to you don't know about?
You let them in and they help you heal.
or
Buck is grieving and goes to Eddie because he's tired of carrying his pain alone.
Part 2: We Need a Medic!
POV Eddie Diaz
Of course a SEAL team comes in with multiple GSWs and a major concussion while he's understaffed. And he gets stuck treating the pretty one who can't shut up. A minor sexuality crisis ensues.
Part 3: E Komo Mai, Evan Buckley
When Evan experiences a tragic loss that results in the end of his military career, Steve welcomes him to Five-0 with open arms.
Part 4: Evan in L.A.
After a six-month stint in Hawaii and a one-month trip to Chicago, Evan Buckley makes his way to the LAFD Fire Academy. The end of his probationary year leads to his dads and brothers surprising him at his inauguration. Cookies, brunch, bridge, and cemetery visits ensue.

I really love that in our "Descendants" dub, Jay is voiced by the same actor as Gene from "Super 4", Chase and Heckyl from "Power Rangers: Dino Charge", Preston from "Power Rangers Ninja Steel", Ravi from "Power Rangers Beast Morphers", Jay from "Lego Ninjago", Donatello from "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2012", Marco from "Star vs. the Forces of Evil". It's funny how some of these characters look similar to each other.
